Terms of Use

These terms form the agreement between you and Kalynda Teknoloji Havacılık ve Turizm Limited Şirketi (“Kalynda”, “we”) for the use of metarandtaf.com and its apps (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. The Aviation Disclaimer and the Privacy Notice are integral parts of this agreement.

1. Definitions

“Free tier” — the feature set available without payment; “Plan” — a paid yearly subscription described on the pricing page; “Content” — all data, decodings, forecasts, texts and visualisations presented by the service.

2. The service

Live aviation weather visualisation: METAR/TAF decoding, multi-model forecasts, the Kalynda statistical blend, meteograms, winds aloft, runway wind analysis and 3D profiles. Sources and update cycles are described on the site; availability of any single data source is not guaranteed.

3. Account

• You must provide a valid e-mail address and keep your credentials confidential; actions taken under your account are attributed to you.
• One account is personal; sharing an account or reselling access is not permitted.
• We may suspend an account that endangers the service or other users, violates these terms, or is used for abuse; where reasonable, we notify you first.

4. Subscription, price and payment

Free plan. The service has a free plan with a limited scope: 15 lookups per calendar day across at most 5 airports (METAR/TAF decoding, runway wind, a one-day meteogram and a single wind model). The map view is open to everyone. Registration is free and no payment method is required for this plan.

Trial. Every new account receives a full-access trial that begins when the e-mail address is confirmed. When it ends the account continues on the free tier — it is not closed.

Paid plans. The Pilot and Pro plans can be purchased online at any time and give a longer forecast range and additional modules. Payment is taken by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited, which also issues the invoice; the price shown at checkout includes the applicable taxes.

No automatic charge. We never take payment without your explicit purchase. A closed account can be reopened at any time by choosing a plan. Account data is retained for 90 days after closure and may be deleted afterwards; you may request deletion earlier.

• Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly through the app stores or the payment institution shown at checkout; prices include the taxes stated there. The detailed terms are in the Distance Subscription Contract and the Preliminary Information Form.
• The subscription does not renew silently at a different price: price changes are announced before your renewal.
• You may cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Purchases made through app stores are refunded according to the store's rules.

5. Withdrawal right (digital content)

Where consumer law grants a 14-day withdrawal right, you are informed that performance begins immediately upon purchase with your consent; for digital content delivered instantly, the statutory exception for immediately-performed digital services applies (in Türkiye: Distance Contracts Regulation Art. 15/1-ğ; in the EU: CRD Art. 16(m)). Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

6. Acceptable use

• No scraping, crawling, bulk downloading or systematic extraction of data; no resale or redistribution of the data feed.
• No circumvention of plan limits, rate limits or technical protections; no reverse engineering except where law permits.
• No attacks, no load testing without written permission, no use that disrupts the service.

7. Intellectual property

The software, design, brand, Kalynda model methodology and its outputs belong to Kalynda. Third-party observations and model fields belong to their sources; their licences apply to reuse of raw data.

8. Service level

The service is provided without an uptime guarantee. Maintenance, upstream outages and force-majeure events (including failures of third-party data providers, networks or hosting) may interrupt it. We restore service as quickly as reasonably possible.

9. Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. intent, gross negligence). Otherwise our total liability under this agreement is limited to the amounts you paid in the 12 months before the event. We are not liable for the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of third-party data, nor for operational, flight-planning or in-flight decisions — see the Aviation Disclaimer.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate with reasonable notice, or immediately on serious breach. Sections that by nature survive (IP, liability, disputes) remain in force.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes are announced on the site at least 15 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and disputes

Turkish law governs. Consumers in Türkiye may apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts of their residence; consumers abroad keep the mandatory protections and forums of their country of residence.
